What are bioregulator peptides?
Bioregulator peptides come out of the program Vladimir Khavinson started in the Soviet Union in the 1970s. It began with tissue extracts such as thymalin and moved on to synthetic peptides only two to four amino acids long.
Khavinson’s group proposes that these tiny peptides enter cells and bind DNA or histone proteins, switching particular genes on or off in a specific tissue. Each peptide is linked to one organ: Pinealon to the brain, Cardiogen to the heart, Livagen to the liver, Testagen to the testes.
Most published work comes from that one research school and from Russian journals. Independent replication is limited, so labs treat them as exploratory tools.
