Raw amino TB-500: thymosin beta-4 sizes, blends and research
A short guide to raw amino TB-500: what thymosin beta-4 is, the two vial sizes, the blends and the published studies.

What raw amino TB-500 is
Raw amino TB-500 is the research name for thymosin beta-4, a 43-amino-acid protein found in almost every cell. Raw Amino sells it as freeze-dried powder in 5mg and 10mg vials. Its best-known job is binding actin, the protein that forms the cell’s skeleton, which affects how cells move.
It isn’t approved as a medicine and is on the WADA prohibited list. We sell it for laboratory research only.

How TB-500 works
Thymosin beta-4 holds single actin units (G-actin) so the cell has a ready pool for building filaments when it needs to move. In wound models that shows up as faster cell migration into the injured area. It’s also been linked to new blood vessel growth and lower inflammatory signaling.
What the research says
Malinda and colleagues reported in 1999 that thymosin beta-4 sped up wound closure in rats. Later work moved into heart repair, where Bock-Marquette’s 2004 study in Nature linked it to cardiac cell survival in mice, and into eye studies of the cornea. Most evidence is from animals. The PubMed search for thymosin beta-4 lists the papers.
TB-500 with BPC-157
TB-500 is most often studied next to BPC-157, because the two work on different steps of repair. Raw Amino sells the pair premixed as the BPC-157 TB-500 Blend at 10mg or 20mg, and with GHK-Cu added as the BPC-157 TB-500 GHK-Cu Blend 70mg.
Mixing and storing raw amino TB-500
Concentration is the amount in the vial divided by the water you add. Use sterile bacteriostatic water, let it run slowly down the inside of the glass and swirl until the powder is gone; don’t shake it. Keep sealed vials frozen at -20°C, and once mixed, keep the vial in the fridge at 2 to 8°C and use it within about four weeks. A 5mg vial with 2mL of water gives 2.5mg per mL.

TB-500 vs the TB-500 blends
The single TB-500 vial suits studies that look at thymosin beta-4 on its own or that need to change the dose of each peptide separately. The BPC-157 TB-500 Blend suits designs that always use the two together. At 10mg the blend costs $110, against $132 for a 5mg vial of each bought separately.
The 70mg blend with GHK-Cu is the largest vial in the repair range and the one most often chosen for skin and wound models.
