What raw amino tesamorelin is

Raw amino tesamorelin is the full 44-amino-acid growth hormone releasing hormone with a small chemical cap on the front end. The cap protects it from the enzyme DPP-4, so it lasts longer than natural GHRH. Raw Amino sells it as freeze-dried powder in 5mg and 10mg vials, for laboratory research only.

Tesamorelin is the only GHRH analog approved as a drug in the US, under the name Egrifta, for reducing abdominal fat in a specific patient group.

How tesamorelin works

It binds the GHRH receptor on the pituitary and triggers growth hormone release in pulses, the same way the body’s own GHRH does. GH then raises IGF-1. Because it works through the normal feedback loop, it’s used in research as a closer-to-natural way of raising GH than giving GH itself.

What the research says

Falutz and colleagues published the main phase 3 trial in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2007, reporting less visceral fat after 26 weeks in the treated group. Later studies looked at liver fat. The PubMed search for tesamorelin and ClinicalTrials.gov list the work.

Tesamorelin blends

Mixing and storing raw amino tesamorelin

Concentration is the amount in the vial divided by the water you add. Use sterile bacteriostatic water, let it run slowly down the inside of the glass and swirl until the powder is gone; don’t shake it. Keep sealed vials frozen at -20°C, and once mixed, keep the vial in the fridge at 2 to 8°C and use it within about four weeks. A 5mg vial with 2mL of water gives 2.5mg per mL.

Tesamorelin vs other GHRH analogs

Tesamorelin is the full 44-amino-acid hormone with a protective cap. Sermorelin is only the first 29 amino acids and is cleared in minutes. Mod GRF 1-29 is the 29-amino-acid version with four swapped amino acids that make it last about half an hour, and CJC-1295 DAC lasts about a week. Tesamorelin sits between them and has by far the most clinical data, which is why many labs use it as the reference compound.
