About PT-141 (bremelanotide)
PT-141, also called bremelanotide, is a cyclic seven-amino-acid peptide developed from Melanotan II. It activates melanocortin receptors in the brain, mainly MC4R.

PT-141 mechanism of action
PT-141 activates MC4R and MC3R in the hypothalamus, receptors involved in sexual motivation and arousal pathways. It acts on the brain, not on blood flow, which sets it apart from PDE5 inhibitors.
Chemically it’s Melanotan 2 with a free acid where Melanotan 2 has a C-terminal amide.

How to mix PT-141 10mg
Work out concentration by dividing what’s in the vial by the water you add. For example:
- 10mg vial plus 1mL of water: 10mg per mL
- 10mg vial plus 2mL of water: 5mg per mL
- 10mg vial plus 3mL of water: 3.33mg per mL
Use sterile bacteriostatic water and add it slowly against the glass, not straight onto the powder. Swirl or roll the vial until nothing is left at the bottom. Give it a minute or two if it’s slow; never shake it.
Label the vial with the concentration and today’s date before it goes in the fridge.
Storing PT-141 10mg
Sealed vials keep best in a freezer at -20°C, away from light. Short spells at room temperature during shipping are fine for freeze-dried peptide.
Once you’ve added water, keep the vial in the fridge at 2 to 8°C and use it within about four weeks. Let a frozen vial warm up before opening it, because cold glass pulls moisture out of the air.
